The Role
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced SEND Class Teacher to join our vibrant and inclusive Resource Base. The base comprises two classes: Cherry Class (EYFS/KS1) and Sycamore Class (KS2), supporting children with autism and/or social communication difficulties.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated practitioner with a genuine passion for SEND and inclusion. You will play a key role in helping children achieve excellent outcomes, thrive socially and emotionally, and successfully integrate with their mainstream peers.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a skilled and reflective teacher with high expectations for all pupils.
- Demonstrate a calm, positive and consistent approach to supporting children with complex SEND.
- Champion inclusive teaching and learning strategies tailored to the needs of each child.
- Deliver a bespoke curriculum that prioritises social communication, emotional regulation, and a child-centred ‘TEACCH’ approach to learning.
This is a unique role leading a small class of up to 13 pupils, supported by a high ratio of experienced support staff. You will work collaboratively within a strong team and contribute to whole-school development, including sharing best practice with mainstream colleagues.

Fluency Duty
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
