Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) / TA4

Start date: As soon as possible

Contract: Permanent, term‑time only 26 hours per week plus TED days

Salary: TA4 / HLTA (depending on experience)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our nurturing Middle School community. This is a key role for someone who loves working with young children, thrives in a collaborative environment, and excels when leading learning.

As our HLTA, you will:

Confidently cover whole‑class lessons across KS2 & KS3

Lead and support our team of Teaching Assistants, modelling excellent practice

Deliver and help co-ordinate high‑quality interventions that help pupils make strong progress

Build warm, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families

Contribute to our culture of Kindness, Aspiration, and Self‑Belief

We are looking for someone who:

Has HLTA status or equivalent experience

Is calm, organised, and able to think on their feet

Brings energy, creativity, and a genuine love of early learning

Can maintain high expectations while nurturing every child’s confidence

Enjoys being part of a supportive, forward‑thinking team
