Governance Professional (Clerk to Governors)

St Matthias Primary School, Malvern

Witton Middle School, Droitwich

20 hours per month (10 at each school)

Hybrid working

CG4 (points 7-11) pro rata term time only dependant on experience

The Spire Learning Trust are looking to appoint a passionate, motivated and high organised Governance Professional to initially work with two schools within the Trust.

St Matthias Primary School is based in Malvern, catering for children from Nursery age through to Year 6 and Witton Middle school is based in Droitwich, catering for children in Years 5, 6 and 7.

The post holder will ensure the smooth running of the Governing Board: preparing agendas and meeting papers; taking and distributing minutes; giving administrative support, keeping records and up to date information on policies and date of reviews; and providing procedural and legislative advice to the Governing Board.

They must have excellent organisational; communication and ICT skills and previous experience of minute taking is essential. Previous knowledge/experience of School Governance is preferable but not essential.

Meetings are held in term time, with all meetings held in the evenings either online or in person at the school. The Governance Professional is also expected to attend relevant training events.
