Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) / TA4
Start date: As soon as possible
Contract: Permanent, term‑time only 26 hours per week
Salary: TA4 / HLTA (depending on experience)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our nurturing First School community. This is a key role for someone who loves working with young children, thrives in a collaborative environment, and excels when leading learning.
As our HLTA, you will:
● Confidently cover whole‑class lessons across EYFS and KS1/Lower KS2
● Lead and support our team of Teaching Assistants, modelling excellent practice
● Deliver and help co-ordinate high‑quality interventions that help pupils make strong progress
● Build warm, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
● Contribute to our culture of Kindness, Aspiration, and Self‑Belief
We are looking for someone who:
● Has HLTA status or equivalent experience
● Is calm, organised, and able to think on their feet
● Brings energy, creativity, and a genuine love of early learning
● Can maintain high expectations while nurturing every child’s confidence
● Enjoys being part of a supportive, forward‑thinking team
