We are seeking to appoint a passionate, friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of student during lunch breaks. The primary responsibility is to supervise students in the dining hall, playground, and other designated areas, promoting positive behaviour, ensuring a safe environment and assisting with any lunchtime activities.

Key Accountabilities:

supervise and support students during lunchtime on school premises and using catering facilities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing

use initiative in monitoring events occurring on the school premises and grounds

report any relevant matters, dangers or injuries to ensure a safe environment

assist with the smooth operation of the dining hall, encouraging good table manners and promoting healthy eating and encouraging children to partake of food if necessary

undertake ancillary duties as necessary setting up, clearing away and cleaning tables

watch for intruders on the site during periods of duty

provide a caring and supportive presence for students, addressing any conflicts or concerns that may arise

work closely with other staff members to ensure a positive school environment

maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and support staff in their development and training

undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job

be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection and reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.

Both Catshill Middle School and Catshill First School have recently joined the Spire Church of England Learning Trust. This is an exciting time for both schools and all staff. The Spire Trust currently has 6 schools with the joint aim of raising standards and benefiting the children and families the schools serve. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
