Catshill Middle School is a welcoming, positive and inclusive community where every child is nurtured and challenged to succeed. Our culture is built on strong relationships and a shared belief that every pupil can flourish. As a school, we live out our values of kindness, aspiration and self‑belief in everything we do — and we are looking for a teacher who will help us model and strengthen these values every day.

We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher with a passion for maths to join our team from September 2026. You do not need to be a maths specialist yet — just someone excited to develop their expertise and inspire a love of the subject.

Why Teach in a Middle School?

Working in a middle school offers a unique and rewarding experience:

Excellent behaviour – pupils are eager to please, responsive to routines and genuinely enjoy

school life.

The joy of learning – without the pressure of GCSEs, teaching can focus on curiosity, exploration and deep understanding.

Younger learners, big enthusiasm – pupils bring energy, humour and openness, making every day engaging and uplifting.

A perfect age for maths – children are ready for challenge, excited by problem‑solving and at a pivotal stage in building confidence.

Strong relationships – you get to know pupils well and play a key role in shaping their attitudes to learning before they move to high school.

It’s a phase where great teaching has a huge impact — and where teachers often rediscover the joy of the profession.
