Student Support Worker – Maternity Cover (1 Year)

FTE: £30,350 | Actual Salary: £26,536 per annum
Contract: Fixed-term – September 2025 to August 2026
We are looking to appoint a dedicated and empathetic Student Support Worker to join our outstanding Inclusion Team on a one-year maternity cover. This is a rewarding, student-facing role within our vibrant and high-performing school community.
About the Role
You will support students particularly those with emotional, social or behavioural needs helping to remove barriers to learning. This will involve:
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Assisting staff in managing behavioural and emotional challenges
• Working collaboratively with our Pastoral Team, Heads of Year and Student Welfare team
What We’re Looking For
• Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs (school or similar setting)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Minimum A-level or equivalent qualification
• Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word); ARBOR experience is a plus (training provided)
• Background in social care is highly desirable

Working hours:
Mon–Thu 8:00am–3:45pm | Fri 8:00am–3:30pm
Salary is paid evenly across 12 months.
