Are you passionate about Economics and eager to inspire the next generation of thinkers and leaders? Tolworth Girls’ School & Sixth Form is seeking a dynamic and committed Teacher of Economics to join our thriving faculty of Maths, Business, Economics & ICT.

About the Role

As a Teacher of Economics, you will deliver a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum that supports students in achieving their full academic and personal potential. You’ll play a key role in curriculum development, quality assurance, and pastoral care, while contributing to the school’s strategic objectives and ethos.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Economics at KS5, using varied and stimulating methods

• Monitor student progress and provide high-quality feedback and support

• Contribute to curriculum planning, development and review

• Support students’ personal development as a Form Tutor or Co Tutor

• Engage with parents, external agencies and colleagues to promote student welfare

• Participate in school events, open evenings, and liaison activities

• Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies to ensure a safe learning environment


What We’re Looking For

• A qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge in Economics

• A candidate who can also offer teaching in a Social Science subject is particularly desirable, for example Psychology or Sociology

• A reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development

• A team player who contributes positively to the wider school community

• Someone who values inclusive education and student wellbeing
