Tolworth Girls' School & Sixth Form is a World Class School with high expectations, encouraging our students to be aspirational with their learning and to enjoy all aspects of school life.

We are looking to appoint an engaging and committed Teacher of History to join our highly effective EBACC Faculty on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. This post offers an excellent opportunity for a well-qualified and organised teacher to work within an innovative and highly successful team.

The successful candidate will be an inspiring practitioner with a real passion for History and the ability to deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, and ideally Key Stage 5. You will be committed to delivering a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum, and to enabling all students to fulfil their potential.

Our large and collaborative Faculty includes Geography, History, Religious Studies, Modern Foreign Languages, Philosophy and Ethics, all taught up to KS5. We have a strong team ethos and a shared commitment to raising standards and promoting student progress.

The role will involve planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing and tracking student progress, and contributing to the wider work of the department and school. You will also play a full part in the pastoral life of the school as a Form Tutor, supporting students’ academic and personal development.

We are seeking a colleague who shares our vision to ‘Let your light so shine’—someone who is enthusiastic, reflective and committed to continuous professional development, and who will contribute positively to our vibrant school community.

Part-time applications will be considered for the right candidate.
