Uphill Village Academy is a vibrant primary school located in Weston-super-Mare.
We are a school that thrives on inclusion and strong pastoral and academic provision and welcome children and families to join our school community where we celebrate each other’s strengths and uniqueness. Our community of children, parents, relatives, colleagues and other local community groups work closely together to ensure our children learn in an environment where they are filled with joy, confidence, and a strong sense of agency and feel safe to try new experiences and explore concepts of learning in a deeper way.
The Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2025, having grown from its Bristol beginnings to its current total of 35 schools operating between Gloucestershire in the north and Somerset in the south. Throughout that evolution, our core purpose has remained consistent: we believe that by working together rather than in isolation, we can accelerate school improvement and embed excellence in our academies. In doing so, we create more opportunities for the lifelong success of our students.
To consistently deliver excellent educational experiences for pupils aged 2-19, improving their life chances and serving the communities of which we are a member.
Our vision is simple: we believe that by working together rather than in isolation we can accelerate school improvement and embed excellence in our academies. In doing so, together we can create more opportunities for the lifelong success for our students. That mission is underpinned by our long-established HEART values, which shape our decision-making and behaviours. These values ensure our students are at the forefront of our minds as we seek to deliver on our strategic goal of creating equity through education.
Our culture is one of purpose and collaboration, and its key binding agent is a shared, and deep-rooted moral imperative to improve lives.
We are keen to attract talented and committed people who share our values and who will unite behind our mission.
We see our people as our strength, and seek colleagues who are comfortable with complexity and make a virtue of doing better and improving standards. Our people are learners, committed to deepening their knowledge and understanding of themselves, their role, their position of influence and responsibility to those we support to thrive in their lives
We want our staff to be engaged and motivated to be the best versions of themselves every day.
In return, we offer an environment which is welcoming, diverse and inclusive of all, and fully representative of the communities we serve. And while we work hard, we also value balance in our busy lives, and use modern technology to support us and adopt flexible approaches to working and learning.
We care about our people and their wellbeing and support all colleagues with a host of resources, from wellbeing apps to counselling and access to occupational health. We offer an environment where everyone can thrive, enjoy a sense of belonging and achieve ongoing work fulfilment and career development within resilient and empowered teams shaped by inspiring leaders.
If this sounds like an organisation where you could flourish, we would love to hear from you.

We are an equal opportunity employer and proud to serve a diverse student population and our communities.
