Welcome

Welcome to Uplands Infant School. We are proud to be founding members of the Attenborough Learning trust. As an Infant school our strength lies in Early Years education and how children develop.

“Nurture Empower Flourish”

We are a caring, warm and truly inclusive school that takes account of the needs of children from all backgrounds. Because we are an infant school, our strength lies in early year’s education and how children develop. We do not rest on our laurels but are ambitious risk-takers who not only believe our children can achieve but know that they can and support them at every stage of their educational journey to do so by nurturing and empowering each child to flourish.

Thinking about our Values...

We aim to create a positive learning environment through the positive values modelled by staff throughout our school. It provides social capacity to our children by equipping them with social and relationship skills, intelligences and attitudes to succeed at school and throughout their lives.

This half-term we are focusing on the values of Honesty and Growth Mindset.

Attenborough Learning Trust

The Attenborough Learning Trust is a brand new multi-academy trust that has been set up by the founding schools:

- Charnwood Primary School

- Greenlane Infants School

- Highfields Primary School

- Sparkenhoe Community Primary School

- Uplands Infants School

Our aim is to develop a formal education partnership based on a Multi-Academy-Trust (MAT) model.

The primary objective of the partnership is to deliver increased learning opportunities for children, broadening the perspective of all young people so that they and their families place no limits on their opportunities and ambitions, in order to achieve improved outcomes and life chances for all.
