Hours: Monday - Friday 8:20am - 11:45am per week term time + teacher days only (39 weeks)

JOB OVERVIEW

Uplands Infant School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our Nursery team, working with our youngest learners. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for early childhood education to help give our children the very best start to their learning journey.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities.

• Assisting with planning, preparation and delivery of the Early Years curriculum.

• Providing personal care routines as appropriate for nursery aged children.

• Observing and recording children’s progress to share with staff and parents.

• Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion and wellbeing.

• Working effectively as part of the Nursery and wider school team.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A relevant Level 2 childcare/teaching assistant qualification

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above

• Previous childcare experience

• A proven ability to work on their own initiative

• A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults

• The ability to use relevant technology/equipment

• A can-do attitude

• A commitment to the happiness well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school
