We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic practitioner who, under the guidance of the Director of Science, will lead science across Key Stage 3. Applications are welcomed from both current post holders and ambitious teachers with a proven track record of success and the desire to be an outstanding leader. This role provides an exciting opportunity to help shape the provision of science in our school whilst benefitting from working with practitioners across the Wellsway Multi Academy Trust to share best practice and resources.
You will need to be committed to our vision of becoming an outstanding school and to supporting the science team deliver consistently high standards for students of all abilities. Responsibilities will include monitoring and evaluating student progress and leading the development of teaching, learning and assessment at Key Stage 3. As a leader in our school, you will work closely with Deputy Curriculum Directors from other areas in developing and improving teaching and learning and will be responsible for ensuring that every student enjoys an excellent experience across their science lessons.
If you are a highly effective teacher, able to form excellent educational relationships with students and staff and are confident at leading on the development of challenging and engaging schemes of learning, we would love to hear from you. The ability to teach Combined Science GCSE to all students and A Level in your specialist subject is essential.
