Your Role in Building Brighter Futures
As a Teacher of Maths at Wellsway School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.
Wellsway School is a vibrant and high-performing secondary school located in Keynsham, near Bristol and Bath. Known for its strong academic results, inclusive ethos, and excellent pastoral care, Wellsway provides a dynamic and supportive environment for both students and staff.
As a Teacher of Maths, you will be responsible for:
Planning and preparing courses and lessons.
Teaching according to students’ educational needs, including the setting and marking of work.
Assessing, recording and reporting on student development, progress, and attainment.
Providing guidance and advice on educational, social, and career matters.
Communicating and consulting with parents, carers, and external agencies.
Participating in department and whole-school meetings and activities.
Supporting school functions including examinations, curriculum development, and discipline.
Undertaking continuous professional development, including participation in appraisal and training programmes.
What You’ll Bring to Futura
We are looking for a committed and reflective Teacher of Maths who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has successfully completed their Induction Year.
Has experience teaching across the secondary age and ability range (KS3–KS5 preferred).
Demonstrates effective classroom management and student engagement.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to a team.
Proficient in using ICT for both teaching and administrative purposes.
Demonstrates a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all members of our school community.
Aligns with our trust-wide values by bringing a positive, collaborative approach to their work and a willingness to continuously develop professionally.
