Attendance Improvement Officer

Start: September 2021

Salary: Grade 7 SCP 26

(£30,451 full-time salary)

(£25,695 actual pro-rata salary)

Location: Keynsham (near Bristol/Bath)

Contract: 5 days a week (37 hours)

Term: Permanent, Term Time Only plus 2 inset days

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and reliable individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work as an Attendance Improvement Officer at Wellsway School. The successful candidate will work alongside key staff and external agencies to promote whole school attendance strategies and will work with students and families to improve levels of attendance and punctuality.

The successful candidate will be taking on what is now a very successful aspect of Student Support at Wellsway and will take responsibility for the day to day systems and processes relating to Wellsway School’s target to raise attendance levels of students. The candidate will provide data to monitor attendance and punctuality and be involved in considerations of how we can further develop the role and services we provide.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and ICT skills and be able to build good working relationships with all stakeholders. The ability to work effectively with students and their parents /carers is essential. Previous experience of attendance improvement within a school environment is desirable.
