About Us

The school is positioned at the end of Bonsey Lane, between the woods of Westfield Common and the Hoe Stream. The large site has extensive grounds to enable us to have 2 football pitches and athletics tracks. There is also a large hard surface playground with a range of play equipment, which provides challenge and enjoyment for all.

The Reception Classes all enjoy the benefits of an outside classroom area and share the infants playground. The building is spacious and well equipped. We have a main assembly hall with full stage and a separate dining room area. We have a colourful library, an up to date computer suite and a cookery room.

The Aims of Our School

We believe in a community that has a love of learning and a love of life. We aim to foster a sense of PRIDE.

The school builds on the qualities and skills which parents have fostered in the child at home. From the beginning staff and governors create a caring and well-organized environment in which each child is valued as an individual and can grow in confidence, motivation and self-belief.

We aim to provide the highest quality of education for all our children, in an environment that is, challenging, motivating, disciplined, caring and moral, where children can acquire the skills and knowledge appropriate to their individual needs through the delivery of a creative curriculum.

We emphasise positive attitudes to learning, which will encourage children to achieve their best in all that they do. We help all children to grow emotionally and to learn that courtesy, good manners and consideration for others are very important qualities. We hope all our children will become happy, responsible, and independent young people.
