This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week.
Although the Maths department are based at Knightstone Campus, you may be required to work at any of our campuses, therefore a driving licence is essential for this role.
Day to day duties of the role
To deliver high quality teaching and learning on a range of courses at different levels and contexts, both discrete, face to face and on-line.
Proactively track and record student progress against starting points ensuring that accurate and reliable information on the predicted achievement and success of learners is readily available.
To complete and use initial assessments of learners (BKSB/MathsWatch), to ensure that their learning needs are met.
To act as a link tutor ensuring that external assessments and exams are organised and communicated to vocational staff and their students effectively.
Required skills and qualifications
Degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work.
Ability to teach GCSE and Functional Skills maths entry Level - to level 2.
All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification, or be prepared to gain this Qualification within the first two years of service, with the assistance of the College.
