We require innovative and highly skilled practitioners with excellent interpersonal skills, to work proactively and collaboratively with all faculties across the college by sharing best practice to ensure inclusive practice is embedded within all aspects of delivery.
The post requires the advanced practitioner to advise curriculum staff and specialist practitioners on creating seamless transitions for learners with SEND progressing into the college, through course levels and on to HE, Employment and/or independent living ensuring the specialist model is understood, challenged and is high profile both internally and externally.
The post carries a teaching commitment and the person appointed will be a member of the Faculty Management Team (FMT). An understanding, working knowledge and previous experience of working with learners with SEND, associated funding and the SEND statutory duties is crucial.
