Weston College are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team as an Assistant Principal - Curriculum (Education Programmes for Young People). The successful candidate will implement and oversee the Education Programmes for Young People (EPYP) strategy for Weston College whilst also directly managing the English and maths provision College-wide.



You will work under the direction and line management of the Deputy Principal - Curriculum and Quality to implement the curriculum strategy for EPYP supporting other Assistant Principals and Heads of Area across curriculum.



This role will include direct line management of both the Head of English and Head of Maths and also overall management of the English and maths provision for the College.



As an Assistant Principal, you will need to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be adept at curriculum innovation and learner engagement. It will also demand the capacity for exceptional team working as well as the ability to form networks and strategic partnerships both inside and outside of the Weston College Group.



As the Assistant Principal - Curriculum (Education Programmes for Young People) you will be expected to work across all of our campuses, therefore access to your own transport will be essential.



Required skills and qualifications

* Degree-level qualification.



* Teaching Qualification.



* Extensive experience of leading a team to successful outcomes.



* Extensive experience of developing successful quality strategies and approaches within one or more College/training provider settings.



* Detailed working knowledge of:

* Education Inspection Framework and QAA Framework
* Self-assessment
* Curriculum development and driving change
* Quality review and improvement processes
* Internal and External Verification process and practice
* FE and HE curriculum including apprenticeships and other training schemes.
