We are looking for an exceptional teacher with a heart for working with children with special educational needs, and ideally SEN teaching experience, to join our teaching team as maternity cover. The position is initially anticipated to be for one year but may be extended.
Brooklands is a split site, primary phase (2-11 years) special school. On one site we have 97 FTE pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties including autism. On our second site we have 76 FTE pupils with complex autism. The site this position will be based at is yet to be determined.
The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for teaching pupils with SEND. The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching pupils with this need profile. The position will commence after Easter in April 2026.

- is excited about delivering an inspiring curriculum to primary age pupils with SLD/complex needs and/or ASD

- has experience of leading a class staff team
- has a holistic approach to developing our children in all aspects of their education
- is willing to contribute to whole school development
