Are you aspirational and ready for a new challenge? Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Here at Wigston Academies Trust we have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.
Due to the successful promotion of the current postholder, we are looking for an Assistant Headteacher to be the strategic lead for Wigston Academies Trust’s curriculum plan. This is an exciting opportunity to join our senior leadership team.
We can offer you:
• A balanced team of committed Teachers
• Fantastic facilities and resources across our Trust
• The chance to work across both schools in our Trust
• Mentoring by an experienced Executive Headteacher and Trust CEO, both serving Ofsted inspectors
• A chance to pursue an NPQ
We only have one rule, you care about our students, they come first, and we are united in our work to give them the best possible deal at school.
Teachers that come and work for us do well. If you are keen to learn and make sure that young people are at the heart of everything you do, then there are many opportunities for you here and at all levels.
Wigston Academies Trust is a solidly good Trust. We have a sixth form college, and a secondary school, and OFSTED rates both as good. At Wigston College, OFSTED said ‘Students come first in this happy and caring community’. At Wigston Academy, inspectors said ‘This good school serves its community well’.
In each of our schools our pastoral care, our advice and guidance and above all, student behaviour, are rated as strengths.
If you want to know more please get in touch and come and visit. You will be very welcome and we think you will like what you see.
Closing date for applications: 10:00am, Monday, 20th May 2024
We reserve the right to interview at any point during the application process so early applications are encouraged.
Please include a covering letter saying how your experience has prepared you for this role.
We would expect the successful candidate to pursue an appropriate NPQ if they wished.
Interview date: Wednesday, 22nd May 2024
Only applicants who meet our selection criteria will be invited to an interview.
