We are ambitious for our brilliant students and firmly believe that every one of them should be given the chance to fulfil their potential. This year we began a very exciting journey to achieve this, working together to ensure that our students make excellent progress in their time with us.
Progress Leaders and Assistant Progress Leaders play a crucial part in this planned culture transformation.
If you believe that every student has the potential to be brilliant and deserves this opportunity, we want to hear from you. If you want to be part of a team determined to achieve cultural change, please read on!
We are looking to appoint an Assistant Progress Leader, to support a Progress Leader to ensure that all students achieve their full potential. This is a developing and very exciting role and we welcome applicants who will be focussed on helping students achieve the best possible education they can.
The role will be primarily to work closely with the Progress Leader and other key staff to support and challenge students to make superb academic progress, by inspiring them and helping to remove barriers or reduce their negative impact.
You will also provide emotional and behavioural support as well as deputise for the Progress Leader when required.
Good communication and organisational skills are essential, as is a commitment to inclusivity, equal opportunities and widening participation.
You will preferably have experience in working with children and young people and working in a progress or pastoral role. You will have knowledge of how to motivate and engage young people to achieve or exceed their academic potential, knowledge of how they learn, and how to resolve conflict and manage challenging behaviour.
We value our staff and believe in them. We offer you training and support to develop, along with a friendly and supportive team of colleagues to work with too.
Our core rule is simple: you must care about our students. They are at the heart of everything we do, and we are united in our mission to provide them with the best possible educational experience.
