Wigston Academies Trust is seeking to recruit Exam Invigilators to strengthen our existing team in the running of all internal and public examinations.

Invigilation is a responsible role, covering all aspects of examinations before, during and after.

Candidates will need to be flexible, have effective communication skills, and be a confident,

patient and reassuring presence to students in examination rooms. Previous experience is not

essential as full training will be provided. Wherever you are on your career path, this is an exciting opportunity to join our very successful Trust.

Whilst the busiest time for our invigilators is during the main exam period in May and June,

there are plenty of opportunities to work at other times of the year.

We believe our students are awesome and entitled to an outstanding education, regardless of starting points or barriers. It is our responsibility to create an ambitious, joyful and inclusive environment where every student feels recognised and celebrated, both in and out of the classroom. This belief runs through everything we do.

We value our staff highly. Without them, we cannot create the environment our students deserve. We offer high-quality CPD, training and ongoing support, alongside an extremely friendly, purposeful and committed team to work with.

Our core rule is simple: you must care about our students. They are at the heart of everything we do.

Wigston Academies Trust comprises Wigston Academy (11–16) and Wigston College (16–19). Both institutions were rated “Strong Good” in their most recent OFSTED inspections (May and June 2022).

If you’re curious to learn more, we warmly invite you to visit us. Come and see what we’re building — we’re doing great things, and we’re confident you’ll feel it the moment you walk through the door.

Closing date for applications: 10am, Friday, 9th March 2026

Interview date: 9th, 12th and 13th March 2026

We reserve the right to interview at any point during the application process so early applications are encouraged.

Only applicants who meet our selection criteria will be invited to an interview.
