Science Technician

Required as soon as possible

Full Time, Permanent, across the 11-19 campus salary

37 hours per week, 40 weeks per annum

Grade 6 £19,196 to £19,983 (£21,971 to £22,373 FTE)

Part time and job share considered

We are looking for a Technician to provide comprehensive support to our Science Department. Working alongside the Head of Science, you will support our students to achieve their full potential and to assist with the development of the department.

You will have the ability to work independently, using your initiative to solve problems. You will be IT literate and have good organisational skills.

We value our staff and believe in them. We offer you training and support to develop, along with a friendly and supportive team of colleagues to work with too.

Previous experience of working in a school or with young adults is an advantage, as well as further education in science and lab experience.

Wigston Academies Trust is made up of Wigston Academy (11-16) and Wigston College (16-19). Both were rated strong good in our last OFSTEDs in May and June 2022.
