We are looking to appoint a Deputy Site Supervisor to work within our Site Team. The successful candidate will assist our Site Supervisor in the caretaking, day-to-day operation and maintenance of our school sites to a high standard. They will deputise for the Site Supervisor in their absence and supervise two caretakers. Duties will include liaising with external contractors as well as undertaking repairs to, and maintenance of, our school premises.
Job overview
The applicant must have the ability to work alone and as one of four members of site support team. Previous experience in a maintenance position using decorating, carpentry or plumbing skills and an understanding of safe working practices is essential.
They should also have a flexible attitude to tasks and hours, with some key-holder responsibility. The school covers a large main school site, including a swimming pool and 3G pitch as well as separate playing fields. Part of the role is to facilitate our numerous external lettings.
Job requirements include
- Good standard of maintenance and DIY experience with an understanding of health and safety parameters
- Experience of facilities management and working within an operational environment to provide day-to-day maintenance support
- Have the necessary IT skills to enable them to perform the responsibilities of the post efficiently
- Ability to prioritise and plan own and others workload.
