We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Student Support Assistant to join our team on a fixed term contract starting as soon as possible and ending on 21st April 2025 or sooner should the post holder returner sooner from Maternity leave.

The role involves working closely with young people every day, supporting them with all aspects of their school life including their attendance and punctuality, behaviour, uniform, equipment, safeguarding and welfare and, ultimately, their success in school. You'll have strong inter-personal skills because relationships with students, families and colleagues are at the heart of excellent pastoral care and are a key strength of our school community: we care about every student and their family.

You will be joining a strong pastoral team which includes an Assistant Headteacher for each Key Stage, a Key Stage Lead, overseeing pastoral care in each Key Stage, a mix of teaching and non-teaching Heads of Year, a designated Student Support Assistant for each year group as well as a team of tutors in each year. In addition, there is a separate safeguarding and inclusion team who work closely with the pastoral leaders. We care about every student and their family and aim for each individual to have a successful and supported journey through school. You will be joining a committed team of professionals who enjoy working together to create the best environment for students.
