Our Church of England (VA) Primary School, is set in idyllic woodlands in the village of Shamley Green: in the beautiful Surrey Hills, just south of Guildford. We are a forest school with international links in China, Uganda and Nepal. We serve the parishes of Wonersh with Blackheath, and Shamley Green. Our school is an inclusive and caring community. Wonersh and Shamley Green Church of England (Voluntary Aided) Primary School is an inclusive village school with a strong Christian ethos. We are a one form entry school with 208 pupils ranging from 4 – 11 years. Our PAN is 30.
Our KS2 building was purpose-built with 4 spacious classrooms, the Headteacher’s office that overlooks both the playground and KS1, a DT room, a meeting room, and an Arts room. All KS2 classrooms open onto a covered decking area that overlooks the gardens, playing fields, running track and woodlands. Our school also benefits from a spacious hall where assemblies, school lunches, and many other events take place.
Our teachers are passionate about teaching and learning and provide an enriched learning experience for all the children, supported by the Leadership Team and funds raised by our enthusiastic Parent Teacher Association.
Wonersh and Shamley Green School is well regarded in the local community with strong links to both local state and independent schools, and excellent connections with our local churches and the wider local community.
