Salary: Grade 5, Points 7-8 (£12,752 to £13,008 per annum)

We seek an enthusiastic, highly motivated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join us at Wreake Valley Academy. The role of LSA within the school is an important and rewarding role, it provides vital support to those students who need it and the opportunity to access learning as part of the usual school day. We are looking to appoint a well-motivated and enthusiastic person who is committed to providing high quality provision to our pupils and support to the Teachers within the school.
This role is a rewarding one with a successful candidate having the opportunity to work under the direct supervision of the Teachers to provide support for teaching and learning and associated activities in accordance with school policies and procedures. This may include providing general support for whole class learning activities, or supporting individuals or small groups of pupils as directed by the Teacher.
The ideal candidate will:
• Be NVQ Level 2 qualified or have equivalent experience of supporting teaching and learning in an educational setting
• Have good numeracy and literacy skills
• Have basic IT skills
• Have good influencing skills to encourage pupils to interact with others and be socially responsible
• Have the ability to recognise and deal with emergency situations.
