Oak Trust is a partnership of schools in Leicestershire and Leicester City with a shared ethos, common values and collective goals. We do not have a 'lead' school, instead a collaborative approach within a framework that encourages and supports a high degree of autonomy for each school, recognising that each school has a particular character and set of strengths.

Oak Trust is committed to providing an inspirational education which allows all our pupils to realise their full potential as learners and citizens through excellent teaching, learning and development of the whole child. We will meet the needs of our unique schools and communities through collaboration, support and challenge

Our Schools

Whilst the five schools in Oak Trust are all in close proximity to each other in the south east of Leicestershire in the East Midlands region, they fall into two different Local Authority areas: Leicester City and Leicestershire.  It is the Trust’s intention to keep a tight geographical character as we feel that we gain from being local to each other; physical closeness enables us to support and challenge each other more effectively.

The Oak Trust is made up of:

Overdale Infant School, in Knighton, Leicester, has recently expanded to become a four form entry school, with 360 children on roll. We are a diverse, multi-cultural school and proud of our commitment to Early Years education.  Our mission statement  ‘Live, Laugh, Learn and Achieve’ is lived out daily in the school community.

Overdale Junior school, in Knighton, Leicester, is a three form entry school that shares a campus with Overdale Infant School.  We take great pride in the strength of our friendly school where we promote creativity and the enjoyment of learning.  We are fortunate to have extensive and varied school grounds and have established ourselves as a Forest School.

Brookside Primary School, in Oadby, Leicester is a 2 form entry school with a 20 place Moderate Learning Base where a personalised teaching style meets a wide variety of needs.  We celebrate diversity as our school speaks 39 languages and we are very community lead.  We are the lead school for Leicestershire in Family Learning and run ESOL classes for adults.

Woodland Grange Primary School is a two form entry school with its own preschool and 498 children.  We take great pride in our creative curriculum and the strength of our early years provision where outdoor learning (especially Forest School) and play is at the very heart of all we do.

Manor High School, in Oadby, Leicester is an 11-16 Academy of 790 students with a 6 form entry.  Manor High is built upon its four core values of Excellence, Inspiration, Care and Respect which underpin all aspects of our work.  Our students and their families are highly aspirational and come from both the immediate locality and the city of Leicester.
