St Werburgh’s Primary School is a popular inner city primary school that is at the heart of the local community. It caters for children aged 4 –11 years old. The school reflects the wide range of cultures present in the community and has a vibrant and inclusive feel.
The school opened in September 1999 and is situated in a central area of the city of Bristol called St Werburgh’s.
In 2021 we became an Academy and joined the Cathedral Schools Trust Cathedral Schools Trust
Whilst most children come to St Werburgh’s Primary School from the local area, some travel from the adjacent areas of Easton, St Paul’s, and Montpelier. Due to the popularity of the school, the local authority funded an expansion onto a newly refurbished annexe.
The main school is called the Willow site and is located on James Street it houses pupils from Years 3-6. Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are located on Mogg Street our Silver Birch annexe.
We have an impressive performing arts studio on the Willow site, which was opened to the community in 2004. Our children and the local residents use the facilities for a range of arts and physical activities.
