Class Supervisor - Term time only

Start Date: a date to be confirmed

Contract: permanent (including INSET days)

Hours: 31.25 per week

Salary: Grade JG5 (Scp 12 - 19), £22,571 - £25,927 FTE per annum (pro-rata: £16,671 to £19,150 per annum)

We are seeking a forward thinking Class Supervisor, supervising classes of up to 32 students allocated by the Cover Co-ordinator. Work for the students will be provided by the Head of Department. Supervisors are allocated cover periods for a variety of subjects according to the needs of the school each day.

Part of the role will require supervising students during the lunch break. As well as during examination periods to supervise and invigilate students sitting internal and external tests and examinations. The successful applicant will be required give administrative and in-class support there when not needed for cover.

We are seeking someone who has relevant experience working with young people 11 – 16 years and adults. High standard of communications skills, and are able to work on your own initiative. Having a broad knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality issues is a key requirement in this role.
