Learning Mentor
Part Time, permanent 29 Hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Grade 7, £17,999 (£26,832 FTE per annum)
An exciting and rewarding opportunity to become a Learning Mentor at Christ Church St Peter’s CofE Primary School.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active Learning Mentor to work within a team of specialists who are passionate about improving the outcomes for children with social, emotional and mental health needs and other barriers to learning- supporting them to remove barriers to learning. The post holder will provide support in teaching and learning for small groups or individual pupils as well as being a nurturing and consistent key adult.
A successful candidate will:
Bring excellent behaviour management skills
Be ELSA trained or wish to work towards this
Have an area of special interest i.e ASD, ADHD, SEMH etc.
Have a good sense of humour
Remain calm under pressure and have emotional resilience
Be creative and innovative
Be keen to develop skills and expertise
Be competent in the use of IT
