Rise Multi Academy Trust are delighted to be growing the central IT Team. We are looking for a Senior Desktop Support Engineer to join our growing and ambitious IT Team and provide technical assistance across the schools within the Trust.

This is a truly exciting opportunity for a dynamic, hard-working, and experienced IT professional to be the point contact for IT issues, providing a high standard of technical support and service delivery.

You will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and a solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 and service desk support, taking calls, logging, and resolving support tickets, escalating, and delegating as appropriate. Excellent troubleshooting skills are key, as you will install, configure, and maintain various hardware and software systems, including Microsoft 365 and service desk applications.

This is a fantastic role for someone either in a second line support role or for someone looking for the next step in their career. You will help shape the growing IT service provided to our schools, improving the provision of technology for our staff and pupils and mentoring junior staff. The successful applicant will be based in our Head Office in Syston, but there will be a requirement to regularly visit our schools, many of which are situated in rural villages with limited transport links, therefore a driving license and mode of transportation will be essential.

In return we can offer you:

  • A comprehensive induction
  • A strong commitment to your professional development and career progression
  • Access to wellbeing services, through our dedicated provider, including counselling, physiotherapy and access to a GP 365 days a year
  • Excellent pension scheme (local government)
  • Flexible working opportunities
  • Support from an ambitious and dedicated Trust Executive Team

If you believe you have the skills and attitude to thrive in this role, then we would love to hear from you. An informal conversation with Dan Daley, IT Network Manager is welcomed.

To apply for the role please complete our application form via eteach.

Interview Date: Monday 15th April
