We are seeking an Office Administrator - Receptionist to join our team at Philip Southcote School, part of Bourne Education Trust.
Our office administrators are responsible for providing with a high level of accuracy, effective and efficient administrative and clerical support within the school alongside an excellent and proactive front-line customer service to families and visitors.

Philip Southcote School is a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities School for students aged 11 to 19. Spread across five sites within Surrey, each learning provision is staffed and resourced to meet the individual needs of all Philip Southcote students.
Philip Southcote Main School: A 3-Form Entry site for students aged 11 to 16 years.
Philip Southcote Sixth Form: For students age 16 to 19 years, this state of the art and newly opened site at The Meads is within walking distance from the main school.
Philip Southcote Satellite Centres: Our centres are based within mainstream secondary schools. Chertsey High School, Chertsey, Epsom and Ewell High School and Kings International School, Camberley.

Position: Office Administrator - Generalist (Maternity Cover)
Contract: Term time, temporary
Start Date: 3rd November 2025
Salary: Surrey Support Pay Scale 5 (£26,777 FTE; actual £23,036)
Hours: 36 hours a week, 39 weeks per year (Monday - Thurs 08.15am - 16.00pm, Friday 08.15am - 15.45pm). There may be some flexibility with these hours.

Key responsibilities include:
- Provide effective administrative support to the the Southcote Centres
- Undertake general admin duties as required for the efficient function of the office team
- Keep up-to-date records of changing school information and maintain key
- information for reference and distribution, as necessary
- Provide admin support to teachers and Leadership as required
Requirements include:
Essential
- Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification)
- Experience working in an office environment
Desirable
- Previous reception / administrative experience within a school environment
- Experience of school software packages such as Arbor
