Overview

Busbridge Infant School is situated on a large site at the edge of Godalming, close to the church. It is a co-educational day school which takes children from the ages of 4 – 7 years. It has a large playing field and a large playground complete with climbing frame, trim trail and many other exciting resources. We have activity stations positioned around the field including a climbing wall. Our Rainbow Garden and Vegetable patch are very popular with children and adults alike.

The children in the Foundation Stage (4+) and Year 1 and Year 2 have their own play area which is used, not only at break times, but also during the day for structured play activities, so important at this stage of the children’s development. The main building is comprised of four classrooms, a spacious hall, kitchen, staff room, offices and toilets/cloakrooms for each class. There are also two mobile classrooms for the 5th and 6th class.

Busbridge Infant School is part of South Farnham Educational Trust, a primary multi-academy trust which currently consists of six schools, Busbridge Infant School, Wallace Fields Infant & Nursery School, South Farnham School, Highfield South Farnham School, The Raleigh School & Great Bookham School. We also have an associate member of the Trust - St Mary's C of E (Aided) Infant School.

About Us

The aims of the School What makes Busbridge special: Our staff, parents and governors are very clear about the things they value about the school. The people and the environment are what makes our school special and unique. They all like the friendly atmosphere, the high standards, good behaviour and focus on social skills and development as well as on the "basics". They love the extras: the clubs, trips, visits and "focus" days and weeks.

The children are happy, enjoy their learning and feel safe and cared for, they like active learning and making good use of our wonderful grounds. We all want to develop all of these aspects of our provision even more. So, without allowing ourselves to become complacent or ignoring trends in educational thinking, we continue in our current direction, always striving to be the best we can possibly be. We need to make sure that we build on past successes and further develop our focus on creative, active learning and continue to make the best of our outdoor environment and maintain our six class structure and expanded staff team.

Our vision, aims and values are:

  • Vision: To turn little steps into confident strides.

  • Aims: To provide a happy and safe learning environment. To create a nurturing and stimulating setting where each individual is inspired and flourishes. To equip all learners with the essential skills and tools that will set them on the road to lifelong success.
