We are looking to appoint inspirational, flexible, enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work within our new Designated Specialist Provision (DSP) who are passionate in ensuring young people achieve the best possible learning outcomes.

This role is challenging yet highly rewarding, and it will give the right person a chance to play a key role in providing support to our students with a range of needs to make a real difference to their lives.

 Start Date:    21st August 2025

Contract: Permanent (You are required to complete a 26 working weeks probation period before the appointment is confirmed)

Hours:    35 hours per week / 39 weeks per year (term time plus one week)

Working Day:     8.15 am to 3.45 pm, Monday – Friday (with 30 mins for lunch)

Grade:    APT&C Grade 5 point 11-14 (Single Status generic job description E9001b)

Who are we looking for?

This is a great opportunity for hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to join our DSP Coordinator in welcoming our first cohort into our DSP for students with communication and interaction needs. We are looking for someone with high levels of emotional intelligence and can work both one-to-one with a student yet also have the presence and personality to engage with small groups. The successful candidates would need to have accreditation as an HLTA; HLTA status or relevant level 3 qualification, and a minimum of 2 years experience of working within an educational setting with students with SEND, with an age range appropriate to the role.
