An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join Cobden Primary School as an Administration Assistant on a permanent basis. The Administration Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Office Manager in leading the administration of the school. The successful candidate will be required to work 5 mornings and 2 afternoons a week. This is a varied and exciting role for someone who has experience of working in a busy office environment.

This is a key position in the school, being the face of the school and providing a courteous service, resolving routine queries and those relating to an area of work and liaising with an appropriate person to assist where necessary. The post holder will undertake a full range of administrative duties and support the Office Manager in offering excellent customer service to the school; ensuring the administration of the school runs efficiently and effectively. You will be expected to build strong positive professional relationships with our families and stakeholders, answering telephone calls and deal with general enquiries, forwarding more complex enquiries where appropriate.

We are looking for someone who is friendly and has the ability to work well in a team. The ideal candidate will have a good sense of humour and a flexible attitude towards work.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience of working in a busy administration office, ideally in a school

• Have good communication and organisational skills

• Have the ability to prioritise their workload

• Have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude with a friendly approach

• Be flexible with the ability to adapt in a busy working environment

• Be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office

• Have the ability to work under pressure whilst providing a calm demeanour
