Thank you for your enquiry about the key post of Teacher of Religious Studies and Sociology at The Elmgreen School. We currently teach Religious Studies up to GCSE and teach Sociology at A Level only, which is an incredibly popular and academically successful course.

Key Responsibilities

  • To consistently teach our students well, ensuring progress for all in our inclusive school
  • to help develop and implement policies and practices for Religious Studies (RS) and Sociology which reflect the school’s commitment to high achievement and effective teaching and learning
  • to support the Head of RS and Sociology in the development of appropriate syllabi, assessment, teaching and learning strategies and resources
  • to support in monitoring the progress made towards achieving targets for our students
