Aureus Primary School is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisor, to join us on a temporary contract to cover maternity leave whilst playing a vital role in supporting high-quality learning across the school. Your opportunity
In this dynamic position, you will deliver and support engaging lessons in the absence of the subject teacher, ensuring continuity of education while maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement. Working closely with teaching staff and the wider inclusion team, you will motivate and support students of all abilities, provide meaningful feedback on their progress, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment aligned with the school’s values and development priorities.
What we're looking for:
- Teaching assistant experience
- Good literacy and numeracy skills evidenced by grade ‘C’ at GCSE (or equivalent) in English & Maths
- Achieved or working towards HLTA qualification
- Able to confidently and competently apply knowledge and skills acquired from training into a practical classroom context
- Ability to relate to, and communicate with, children in and out of the classroom
- A trustworthy, approachable, and passionate attitude towards making a positive impact on students’ lives.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, in line with GLF Schools' policies.
This role is suited to someone who is dedicated, patient, and enthusiastic about helping students reach their full potential.

The Details
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: GLF Associate 3 - FTE £25,001 Actual Salary: £19,417
Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:20am - 3:20pm, 32.5 hours per week (Term time plus Inset - 39 weeks).
