Are you an experienced careers advisor looking to work with young adults and help determine their future opportunities?

Your Opportunity

Come and join a busy secondary school using your talents to forge links and network in the community and keep updated with the Information Advice and Guidance to meet the needs of the students and statutory guidance. You will further develop and maintain the careers library with books, articles, help sheets, prospectuses and also renewing licences such as Fast Tomato. You will liaise with employers and industry representatives regarding potential opportunities for the students. You will offer a drop-in service for students to help with their careers related issues, offer support with Post 16 application forms, simulate mock interviews, and help to arrange interviews for Year 11 students whilst guiding them with their action plans.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a patient and empathetic knowledgeable careers officer to assist and support students with their career development by providing up to date & accurate careers information and guidance. You will have previous experience within careers guidance and also working with young adults. You will have strong communications skills and a drive to help students succeed. The Details

Salary: £24,982

Actual Salary: £16,715

Hours of work: 28 hours per week during school hours (pattern to be agreed with successful candidate), 39 weeks per year (term time only)
