Is your philosophy for teaching founded on ensuring all children, in all their diversity, are enabled to experience the joy of learning, know they belong and feel valued in their school community?

Longford Park Primary School is looking for a teacher with strong experience and a specific interest in SEND to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead teaching and learning within our Personalised Enriched Provision class with children who require additional support to meet their individual needs.

Your opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher to join our outstanding and oversubscribed school where you will be supported to further develop your career working alongside our Senior Leadership Team, in particularly supporting our SENCo.

Our culture is one of high expectation and excellence where every child has the opportunity to unlock their potential and become confident, thoughtful and successful members of society. We encourage children to be proud of their achievements and to celebrate success in its wide variety of forms – whether it’s academic progress, creative accomplishment, sporting triumph or social and personal development.

Our nurturing approach - where pupils’ wellbeing is prioritised and every child feels valued and respected - supports our children to develop and model our school values, where they take responsibility for themselves and for others; ensuring that a Longford Park education is well-rounded, empowering and aspirational.

We believe that every child should feel a strong sense of belonging, pride and connection within their school family and by working together with our families and wider community, we can create a happy and supportive environment where everyone belongs, everyone contributes and everyone is celebrated.

In your role as PEP Class Teacher / Assistant SENCo, you will be working with a maximum of 10 children across KS1 and EYFS. You will also work closely with the wider staffing team, ensuring an inclusive approach and continuing to develop and embed our curriculum offer.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

• Someone who can work well as part of a collaborative team, as well as being self-motivated and able to work independently

• Be committed to developing and providing an inclusive provision for our children with SEND.

• Someone with a strong understanding of the SEND code of practice as a Class Teacher and experience of working across the primary age range.

• Willing and committed to developing and sharing outstanding teaching practice across GLF Schools.

• A person who is passionate about children's learning and welfare.

• A values-led individual with high expectations of achievement and behaviour in themselves and others.
