ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Holmleigh Park is an ambitious academy located in Tuffley, Gloucester. We believe that all children have limitless potential, and are proud to offer a comprehensive education to all students in our local community. We expect all staff, students and parents to embrace our three principles - Work Hard, Be Kind, Take Responsibility - so that our students leave school as ambitious, confident and successful young adults with the highest standards of integrity. Everything we do is underpinned by three key drivers:
Outcomes – Our core purpose is ensuring students leave with the best possible exam results, so they can access the most ambitious and aspirational destinations and step into adulthood with choice. We teach in an evidence-informed style implementing the science of learning principles. At HP, teachers are the experts in the room. Our lessons utilise an I, We, You structure and there are visualisers in every classroom to build all students to effective independent application and practice. All of our staff take part in both Faculty and Whole School CPD.
Opportunities – We want every student to take part in enriching experiences that build confidence, create lasting memories and allow them to represent the school with pride. Every student at HP takes part in extracurricular activities during the normal school day through our Wednesday Enrichment program. We believe in students leaving a legacy and shaping the culture of the school for those who follow.
Disruption-Free Learning – We set the highest expectations for student conduct. Every student is expected to show the very best version of themselves so that every lesson is calm, focused and allows all learners to thrive. Every classroom is consistent and we work together as a whole staff team to implement the same routines and expectations every lesson, every day.
