Learning Support Assistant

33 hours per week, Term time only (37 weeks per year - Our college term dates differ to standard dates)

Starting Salary £22,070 FTE (£16,050 pro rata)

*Please note that Level 2 qualifications (or equivalent) or above in English and Mathematics are essential requirements for this role*

We are looking for a committed, reliable and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant who can be a strong role model to join us to support students with physical and learning needs within our Pre 16 provision. A commitment to the cause of inclusion of students with disabilities in our Pre 16 education is essential.

The successful candidate will provide one to one and small group support for our AP students, assisting in creating a supportive learning environment which enables them to develop increased independence and learning.

Ideally, you should:

  • Experience of working with young people with SEND 
  • Be well motivated, passionate and well organised
  • Have significant knowledge of Safeguarding and Prevent
  • A good sense of humour and a flexible nature is essential!
