Are you passionate about inclusive education and skilled in supporting learners with specific learning differences? We are expanding our Additional Learning Support services as part of a trust-wide commitment to increase our inclusive offer for students1. As a Specialist Learning Support Tutor, you will play a key role in a new cross-college team dedicated to supporting students with specific learning differences (including dyslexia, autism, ADHD, and related needs) across St Vincent College and Richard Taunton Sixth Form College. This is a newly created role offering you the chance to shape our specialist provision and directly help students overcome barriers to learning.
About the Role
In this specialist teaching position, you will provide expert assessment, targeted teaching, and collaborative support to ensure that learners with additional needs can thrive. Reporting to the Specialist Learning Support Manager, you will work both one-on-one with students and alongside colleagues to embed inclusive practices. Your efforts will directly contribute to the trust’s mission of making education accessible to all.
Join our dynamic, inclusive education team as a Specialist Learning Support Tutor and make a real impact on students with learning differences across St Vincent College and Richard Taunton Sixth Form College. You’ll assess learners’ needs, create tailored support plans, and deliver expert one-on-one and small-group teaching, using innovative strategies and assistive technologies to break down barriers to learning. Collaborating with staff to embed inclusive practices, you will also manage exam access arrangements and monitor student progress, while sharing your expertise through staff training and resource development.
