Salary: Sixth Form College Pay Spine Point 1-9 dependent on experience
We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Health and Social Care (T Level Adult Nursing, Education and Early Years) to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the effective delivery of our exciting and evolving T Level Health curriculum and/or Education and Early Years, ensuring all students are inspired, challenged, and supported to achieve their very best.
Applications are welcomed from experienced and energetic teachers of Health and Social Care/Education and Early Years. This role would particularly suit candidates with previous industry experience in the health or care sectors and/or experience of teaching the T Level Health qualification, Education and Early Years. A strong and current subject knowledge is essential.
You will have excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills and be committed to providing outstanding learning experiences. You’ll be a team player who thrives on collaboration, brings positivity to the role, and is always willing to go the extra mile for students and colleagues alike.
Depending on your specialism, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the core content of the T Level Health Adult Nursing/Level 2 and 3 Health and Social care qualification, including:
o Working in health, social care, and early years settings
o Health, safety, wellbeing and environmental regulations in care and education environments
o Managing information and data
o Person-centred care
o Infection prevention and control
o Promoting development, learning and positive behaviour
o Safeguarding and child protection
o Core scientific, clinical and psychological concepts
Assessment & Feedback:
• Plan and deliver formative and summative assessments
• Track student progress and provide constructive, personalised feedback
• Preparing students for successful industry placements by developing their workplace readiness
• Contributing to curriculum development in line with industry standards and best practice
• Ensuring all work meets internal and external quality assurance and compliance standards
Student Support:
• Offer guidance tailored to individual learning needs
• Promote academic progress, confidence, and career readiness
All successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure.
