Are you looking for a job where every day is different, working local businesses and the community?

The Cedars Academy is an 11 to 18 academy in Birstall committed to high standards, raising attainment, and promoting excellence across all aspects of academy life. At The Cedars Academy, pupil success is at the heart of everything we do. We provide a vibrant and engaging learning environment that inspires a love of learning and prepares young people for their future aspirations.

Due to the continued growth of our community lettings programme, evening and weekend activities, performances, sporting events, and cultural festivals, we are seeking to appoint a Community Support Assistant to support the successful delivery of these activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused, organised, and adaptable individual to join our Enterprise Team. Working closely with the Events Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring events and facility bookings run smoothly, acting as a crucial link between hirers, the Enterprise Team, Sports Facilities Team, and site staff.

The postholder will support the operation of academy facilities, including basic sound and lighting systems, assist with the setup and coordination of events, and help maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for all visitors and users of the academy's facilities.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Can work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
  • Is confident using a range of facilities and equipment, including sound and lighting systems.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and on their own initiative.
  • Is committed to providing a welcoming and safe environment for all users.

If you would like to come and visit the Academy or have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
