A Computer Science Teacher – on a temporary contract starting from 27 October 2025 – maternity cover up to one year.

Salary: Main or Upper Pay Range (MPS-UPS £32,916 - £51,048)
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Computer Science and Digital IT to join our academy. Our successful candidate will be able to teach Computer Science at Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 would be desirable for possible future development). This is an exciting opportunity to aid in the development of Computer Science at the Cedars Academy, and as part of the Lionheart Trust you will work closely with the Director of Computing to drive further progress in computing subjects.
We are well equipped with three IT classrooms, with every department also having their own IT facilities. The IT rooms are fully resourced with whiteboards, projection equipment and various technical tools to assist in the teaching of Computer Science. Computer Science is a compulsory subject in Year 7, 8, 9 and taught weekly, and there are six teaching groups in each cohort. From Year 10, Digital IT becomes an optional subject and there is always a very capable cross-section of pupils who elect to study the subject at GCSE. We follow the Pearson specification for Digital IT, OCR for iMedia
