Due to a maternity leave, we are seeking a forward-thinking and innovative Head of English (Maternity Cover) to join our team from January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented English specialist to lead a committed department. We are looking to appoint someone who can lead by example which means they will be an excellent teacher who is confident they are able to deliver high quality day to day lessons. The ideal candidate will also be someone who has a desire to share good practice with the team and capably monitor the delivery of the curriculum across key stages. The successful candidate will work closely with the LET Director of English under whose vision the department is led and will get the opportunity to regularly network with the other heads of English within the trust.
