1x Learning Support Assistant on a permanent contract

Based at Martin High School in Anstey, Leicestershire and part of the Lionheart Educational Trust

32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term-time plus one week)

Grade 5 pay point 7 FTE £23,118 (actual salary £17,375.30)

At Martin High School we are driven to ensure pupil success is at the core of all our work. We provide a vibrant and engaging curriculum which promotes the love of learning, and prepares young people for the next steps in their lives.

1 To provide support for an individual pupil with an Educational Health Care Plan.

2 To assist the teacher in the delivery of the agreed educational plan, upon which the postholder will be briefed.

3 Support learning activities, especially Literacy, Numeracy, Social Skills and emotional health.

4 Be a fully integrated member of the school’s staff team and as such have responsibility for working to agreed school policies and procedures.

5 Be aware of school and statutory frameworks that directly impact on their own work with pupils.
