Operations Manager – fixed term 12 months

37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

Grade 12 £39,005 to £42,535 actual

The Lionheart Educational Trust is a renowned family of seventeen schools based in Leicestershire and Derbyshire. We strive to provide the highest quality education in each of our unique schools, raising the attainment of our talented students and reflecting the local communities of which they are a part.

The foundation of our Trust is built on a perfect balance of Academic Excellence and Holistic Development. We realise the importance of delivering quality first teaching; developing well-rounded young people and preparing them for life beyond education. We’re always looking forward, and believe our students should be too.

We are looking for a proactive and highly motivated, experienced Operations Manager, with excellent interpersonal and project management skills to join our Trust, based at four of our schools (two in Coalville and two in Swadlincote). You will be responsible for ensuring these schools are making the best possible use of resources through effective strategic planning and deployment of resources.

You will need previous experience of management in an education setting, and ideally as a School Business or Operations Manager. You will need excellent IT skills, as well as experience of managing large multi-stakeholder projects.

In return we can offer you flexible working, a generous pension scheme, a comprehensive benefits package as well as the opportunity to work with great people who are committed to doing the best for the students in our schools.

Closing date: Friday 21st August 2026

Interviews are expected to take place week commencing 31st August 2026.

The Trust strives to be a diverse and inclusive place where all staff have a seat at the table: a seat to be free, a seat to inspire, a seat to challenge and a seat to succeed.

We currently have staff networks for staff who are Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME), Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer + (LGBTQ+), staff who would describe their background as working class and staff with a disability.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification, job description and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
